is there a problem running 01 turbo without a wastegate line hooked up. produces 40psi

 

from other posts i think your on the edge. I think they say 44psi and you need studs in the block or you push out the head gasket.

 

Running the risk of that turbo's life being short lived. Most people say not to run the HX35's past 35 psi.

 

I've heard that anything over 35 and your pushin' hot air, something about its out of its functional range. I've seen a compressor wheel that granaded at 50 and its ugly. Fill out your sig. and people can help you more on here.

i read on cummins website that 30psi max avobe that and u risk turbo failure and engine damage. i got mine sittin at 30-31psi with a custom j-hook that i made works good i find that even anything above 25-27psi doesnt even effect the egts at all and does not make an increase in 0-60 and 1/4 mile times. all times are by the attitude monitor.
