Turbo bark when im on the throttle?
Well today going down the highway I noticed that when the truck has the tc locked in od and i am on the throttle hard the turbo barks like it does if you let out of it at the the end of a run. But it does this when your on the throttle. It only seems to do it if your lugging it and get on it hard. If you slowly get on it, it goes fine. What is this from. Thanks for the help.

I had the exact same problem, turbo only had 10,000 miles on it as well due to warranty replacement. My fix was to get a BD Super B. I think it was simply getting too much fuel and choking in a sense, I didn't realize what a turd the HY35 was untill I upgraded...

I was thinking the wastegate also but why would it build tons of boost when easing on it but when you get on it barks. It seems to be the worst if I stand on it from a stop and hold it there. When it shifts into od and locks it shudders and barks so hard the truck will hop if I was to stay in it.

Sounds like surging of the compressor to me. Boost goes up and stalls, back flows, then spools up again, and stalls, and so on. I've heard its an issue when you pair up a big compressor with little turbine, like the 64/66mm with a 65mm turbine.

Mine does the same thing shifting into O/D if on the fuel hard. My thought was due to the 3.55 gears & 33" s it was such a huge rpm drop going into O/D esply with how tight my conv is. That is the only time mine barks other than getting out of full throttle all at once.

mine will do that with a stock hx35 towing up a mountain. it seems im getting under the turbo in rmps when it happens, take it out of overdrive and problen solved. so i would just try keeping your rpms up when you hear it.
