Had to get out of the throttle in a hurry tonight, while listening to Scotty singing under the hood and got a good bark out of the turbo. Does the boost elbow cause a louder bark or am I just getting old and paranoid .

 

i get the same thing, i think the elbow increases the bark, because of the added boost .

 

yup same thing here.... what boost are you seeing when that turbo bark happens? mine does it from 10psi up to 42psi but only if i rapidly let off of the go fast pedal..... also do you have your silencer ring in place? that removed will make it a little louder......

 

I guess ever turbo reacts a little differently....but removing my silencer ring...from my KSB-1, stopped all barking totally.

Seems to me, removing the ring gives the backed up compressor air somewhere to go...other than stalling the compressor blades. JMO.

hmmmm on my stock HX i never heard it untill i removed my ring but only got louder as i upgraded the exhaust and the intake.....etc.
