TST/Smarty issue

Be careful looking at some of the dyno graphs. It is not that they are wrong it is that they indicate the power given certain conditions. In this case I bet it was more likely that they had a hard time lighting the charger. As short of a run as you get on the dyno it happens really fast at those power levels and the graphs basically shows the turbo lighting better than it shows a real horsepower curve. If you could get that thing to light up at 1500 rpms with almost no load on it then you would see a drastically different graph!

All in all I am agreeing with you 100% and taking it a step further to say that your peak power will be as soon as your can get the turbo to full song. The sooner you spool it the sooner you make the big power. On the street this will pretty much always be less than 3000 rpms.

Noticed something interesting today. Changed the smarty from 3 to 5. First off, I forgot how much different the truck drove with the catcher softwares. Second, with the TST off my WOT egt's are down about 100-150*. Truck also seems to carry the power farther in the RPM range. One thing's for sure, the turbo is directly connected to the accelerator pedal. It's insane the difference in spool up. Haven't tried turning the TST on yet but I'll try that tomorrow.

WOW!!! BIG difference. First off the turbo lights instantly. I mean zero lag. None. My HY35 didn't spool this fast. Anyways. The truck pulls very hard up to 3500rpm. It's great. 100MPH comes up so fast you don't even realize it. I love it. That was with the TST on 5 and smarty on 5.
