dodgediesel - maybe, maybe not. Suggest you contact TST < http://www.tstproducts.com/index.asp...tion=CONTACTUS >. They have been very responsive to my emails in the past. The FAQ's on their website do not hit this specifically. May be possible to send yours in for a re-flash and then add an adjustable remote. Is there a phone jack on the rear of your module? The remotes use a phone jack connector to plug up. I would not recommend a PM3 without the adjustable remote! My truck is fine up to about level 7 for "normal" driving. On setting 8 or 9 I keep an eye glued to the EGT gauge. Good luck and hope you can step up to the 3 with remote. Trust me you will love it.

I think all you need is the remote. Take the remote off a pm3 and it'll act like a pm2.

I have the remote but is the electronics upgradable to the PM3??? My buddy has one for $75.00. It's missing the wire harness so I'm thinking instead of buying a regular PM3 for $650.00, I could upgrade the PM2 for way cheaper???

Talking

If you have a Power Max 2 with the adjustable remote, you have a Power Max 3. The power Max 2 is just not able to get the higher levels because it is not adjustable. I went thru this last year with TST when I had my Power Max 2. They just sold me the remote and I now had a Power Max 3I later sent my same Power Max 2 to TST and they sent it back as a comp for 50.00. I still have the same case with a Comp label over the old Power Max 2 label. Hope that helps you.

This Powermax 2 has no phone jack on the rear so I don't know if it's worth buying. I'm shooting for a Powermax 3 in the end. I have the Powermax 3 Comp and I'm tired of the shudder and I don't want to go back to the Edge Comp. Thanks for the help....

Just don't turn your PM3 Comp past 5 and you have a PM3. Any level below 5 is standard to the PM3, anything above is the Comp. I'd think if you stayed below 5, you wouldn't have the shutter.

Is that for sure? I wonder if anyone has tested that HP difference?

I don't have the comp, but everyone I know that has the Comp says that regular pm3 on 9 equals the Comp on 5. I believe that is per the paperwork from TST. The top 4 levels on the Comp are extreme over the top of the std pm3 and can cause the shutter.

True, I get a little shutter on dragstrip and dyno on 9 with the regular PM3 when I let out of it.

On 9, it makes my truck cough like it's going to explode. I just quickly push in the clutch and problem solved ...

ah you don't need a remote for the PM3, that's what that little fancy on/off switch on the box is for

I called TST and they said if the Powermax 2 has no phone jack, it cannot be upgraded. What you have is what you get...
