First check out the hole I cut for my Scotty...



Does this looke right? It's not going in like I think it should. I was too tight to break down and get a hole saw, so I made a template, drew it on, and went to down with my die grider. After and hour, this is what I got. The hole is fine, but I think the location might be off. It got dark on my and I was frustrated. According to the directions, I thought this is where it went. What do you guys think? Do you think I should grind down the "lip" on the horizontal part in the corner?

Did you put the filter case in and check it?
Sorry, I can't look at mine right now.
It looks a little right to me.

 

Some folks have installed the housing and traced around the the firewall end with a Sharpie to get the location and size correct on the firewall.

 

That looks pretty close to where mine is. I had to grind a notch in the lip of the support gusset for the housing to sit in there right.
