Transmission temp probe install

I finally got a set of gauges and piller mount for my 2002. I need to mount the transmision temp probe. I was thinking of using the vulcan adapter from Geno's http://www.genosgarage.com/prodinfo....ber=VULCAN_VTA . That would put the probe at the rubber hot line going into the factory cooler. I think this is after the heat exchanger to the engine coolant?? Does the fluid run through the cooler first or the heat exchanger first? Does this make sense, or should it be closer to the transmission hot line output ??

You probably don't want to put the sending unit on the rubber hot line, because that is after the heat exchanger with the engine coolant. You can use a T-fitting on the transmission output line, or you can buy a Dodge transmission line that has a built in fitting for the sending unit.
