My buddy has a 96 Ram 1500 5.9 gasser. The 46RE took a dump. He found a blown V10 that has the 47RE. Will the V10 tranny bolt up to the 5.9 V8?

He also found a few wrecked 12 valve Cummins with the NV4500. If you buy the 5.9 gas bellhousing, can you bolt that transmission to the gasser?

Simple economics rule out anything but having the 46re rebuilt - input shafts are larger, output shafts are larger, torque converters are totally different, flywheels\clutches are different, rework for clutch pedal and hydraulic cylinders, driveshafts totally different size, incl yokes, u-joints, carrier.
