What go's in the tranny after making more power? Is there something that I can do beforehand to prevent tranny failure or do I have to rebuilt it with different parts to hold the power i'm seeking?

 

what kind of power are you looking for and what do you intend to do with the truck?

 

More for pulling but would like to be able to fly when not pulling. And somewhere around 500rwhp (only because I 've been hearing it can be done fairy cheap).

For 500 HP you are gonna need it built. With billet shafts if you want to do boosted launches...

I suggest calling all the big 5 tranny builders, talk to them about your goals, and usage, and I bet you will find one you prefer. They can all build you a tranny to hold 500 HP. Also check on local installers if you won't be doing it yourself...
