For those of you who have installed the TFOD shift kit, have you had to also install the TF-Gov-Sol electronic gov kit as well? If I accelerate heavily over the speed of 55, the limp mode feature is triggered. So when i come to a stop, (traffic light) and then proceed, it is stuck in third!! I didnt do the kit myself but i know the resistor was installed and he replaced it afterwards to rule it out. At this point im looking at the GOV kit... Any ideas????

 

Ok so I take it nobody has used this kit......I know the Transgo shift kit is popular, thought for sure someone would comment on this topic..

 

I installed the TFOD kit and did not install the gov kit. Seems to be working fine so far, knock on wood. I'd try searching to see if the gov solenoid causes limp mode.
