im hooking up a tranz tem gauge and i have a adapter that goes to the hot line before the cooler my question is which is the hot line? say your on the drivers side of the truck there are 2 lines one is on the left of the shift linkage that goes to the outher side of the block(pass side) to a heat exchanger and then to the cooler or is it the one on the right of the linkage that goes stright to the cooler?
also how many qts of atf is needed just for a filter change 4 or 5 qts i did it before just cant rember how much it was

The hot line will go the the heat exchanger first, then on to the cooler. Then the oil is returned to the tranny.
