Can't answer your question because my steering box was in decent shape when I added Darrin's Streeing Stab. I do know it will stop your problem from getting any worse and does feel like a new truck, steering wise. The difference is impressive.

I never like to change more than one thing at a time; this allows true evaluation of the results.

Unless you have gone way to far with existing problem I would do the DSS first and see?
