Too high up front with Skyjacker D25's
I installed the Skyjacker D25's in March. Front sits about 1" higher than the back. I thought after a few thousand miles, it would level out. But it did not. What can I do to add roughly an inch to the back to level it out? I don't want to put add-a-leaves in because I think it will make it too stiff. Any ideas? Bigger blocks?

Re:Too high up front with Skyjacker D25's
I have 2" kit on front of my truck. Front looked higher than back. Way cool from the old school. When I was growing up thats the way a 4x4 was supposed to look. I installed a teigen or lonestar full replacement front bumper. Both names are the same product. $650.00 Ranchhand cost $900.00 Now the truck sits down in the front. [undecided] But the bumper looks mean. ;D

You can go with an add-a-leaf, but a long leaf.

The short leafs will stiffen up the ride, the long leafs will not affect the ride very much.

I have a short leaf with my 4 1/2" skyjacker, and the ride is a bit stiff till I put some weight in the bed.

phox

If you have a 2500 go to a auto parts store and get 1 ton front springs with the 2" level kit and then buy a short leaf for the rear and you will be dead even. It looks bad [cen].

SD03

You will need to deal with the trackbar.
My Skyjacker 4.5 came with a relocation bracket for it.
You will need that, or a longer or adjustable trackbar.
You might need longer U bolts for the rear springs, mine came with them,
but I'm not positive it needed them.
Mine also came with a wedge for the rear block to point the pinion at the transfer case
(angled the rear diff up a bit).
Mine has a single add-a-leaf and it sits very level now.
Thinking of adding another to get the rear back up, just not as much as it was stock.
Is it a Tuff Country lift?
There's is the only one I know of that uses spacers for the front instead of higher springs.

Re:Too high up front with Skyjacker D25's
Rancho, Daystar and ProComp all use coil spacers.

Marky Mark, don't stick another block in the back. Stacking blocks is BAD JUJU. If it's a 2500 4X4 (I didn't look) it already has a 4" block. Any more block will just result in bad axle wrap. The L O N G add-a-leaf is probably your best bet, just make sure bforehand that your U bolts are long enough.

Thanks all. Cowhand & phox_mulder, I will look into the longer add-a-leaf you two suggested. Where are places to get them?
