temporary Fuel Pressure Gauge

Hi all. I want to rig up a temporary fuel pressure gauge to tape to my windshield to monitor fuel pressure periodically.

What's the easiest way to rig this up?

Will an A.C Charge hose fit the test pot on the filter cannister??

Unfortunately I don't think you can buy a charge hose up here. i had one that i brought back from the states but it has gone AWOL.

What gauge do u use?? Just a water gauge from the hardware store?

it has been mentioned befor on here, common pressure gages use a burbon tube made of brass. Matters not if it is for air, water, oil, whatever, all the same works. You can also go to Autozone and they have a cheap little pressure gage for fuel, about $7.00

Yes sir the shrader on the a/c hose will fit the shrader valve on the filter canister and also the port on the vp-44.
Not sure about the water pressure gauge, I think I used an oil pressure gauge.

The grease gun hose is 1/8 npt and will not fit the shrader valvle test port. However it will fit the tapped banjo bolts.

Or.....Just install a guage that you can monitor full time.
Folks have installed them in the A-pillar, on the dash, on the steering wheel housing, the dash cubby hole, the floor console.........the possibilities are endless.

Yes I will be definitely...... I'm far from home right now and won't be returning until like May. I am going to do Pyro, Boost and Fuel pressure on the A-pillar but for now I'd like to be able to test the fuel pressure, so I'll rig up one of these setups as mentioned.

Not sure where I'm going to find a hose that will fit that test port though....

Try a local Chain type auto parts store and pick up an inexpensive gauge with install kit.
Shouldn't have to spend much $$, and you can route the small plastic tubing up and zip-tie the gauge temporarily to a wiper arm to view.
