TBK Dun!!!
Well, I spent the latter half of the afternoon installing the TBK and Adjustable track bar from Sold Steel Industries. Not one hiccup that got in my way! I was so amazed that I called SSI and talked to Russell for about half an hour, eh! I rolled around under the front end and asked questions while I had him on the phone just because I couldn't believe how easy it was. The 185ft. lb. torque spec on the back bolt worried me at first, but with my 38" long 50-300ft. lb. 3/4" drive torque wrench and a little help from my brother it was no problem.
As for the improvement over my worn stock track bar... Amazing!!! Coupled with the DSS from last week it was unbelieveable. In almost 200K the front end has never felt so tight!!!
Anyone who has been riding the fence about this upgrade should move towards SSI's TBK and DSS ASAP.
How's that for some acronyms?

I have just ordered my TBK and Adjustable track bar today. Parts should be going in next weekend. Looking forward to the change. I also agree that the DSS made a world of difference as well. smokindog, did you have the alignment done afterwards? I hear it's recommended.

BBlue, go for the DSS. It's well worth it and really easy to install.
Mishkaya, I did not do alignment yet. I have another front end issue to deal with.... The bearing/hub assemblies are shot and I am about due for a rotate and balance so I will have the alignment performed after all my work is done. It's hard to imagine that my front end could still get better than it is right now.

Smokin... Also check your ball joints.. .. I just replaced my upper and lowers.. .only 152K.. with no off roading and stock wheels and tires... they didn't move side to side.. but moved up and down over 1/4in... Made a big difference... Adjustable track bar should be here today...

For about the same price as a stocker from the Dealer, SSI can sell you their bar. Even if you don't use the adjustable part, the improved bushings in the ends of the bar are worth the upgrade too. They didn't have that bar available at the time of my upgrade so I went with the OEM 03 bar. Ah well...
