super b and s300 owners reply here please

so i think I've narrowed my turbo search down to the bd super b and wanted to know what you guys that have one think of them. I know i can get an s300 cheaper but i like the adjustable wastegate rather than a boost elbow. plus it comes with a downpipe so the extra cost isn't all that much, seen 'em for about $1250 on sale a few places. looking for some ddp 75hp injectors too.

thanks for the reply, I'm trying to keep it below 400/900 as that is what my clutch is rated for. Plus I use this truck to tow my travel trailer and I've heard that the next size up (s362 62/65/12) runs hot EGT all the time and doesn't spool well with low horsepower. Any opinions from anyone would be appreciated.

If you're really going to keep the horsepower under 400, the Super B will fit the bill as will just about any of the 62mm turbos... the Super B is a 57/65/14 and will spool pretty close to stock with the ability to flow more air throughout it's usable range.

fyi, S300 is just a frame size reference.... S300 turbos come in numerous sizes... that Super B Special is just a 64mm S300...

thought about that too, but the only way i could ever go bigger is to get a stronger clutch. If this one lasts 220,000 miles like the stocker did it could be awhile. looking at diesel care's 330's too, $225 less than DDP 75s. anybody have an opinion on those?
