Got my 4" down pipe on this weekend while I had the exhust apart I decided to leave the muffler off. Wow I really like the sound. Pretty loud from take off with my foot in it but quites down when it gets up to speed. I'm pretty sure I know the answer to this but thought I would ask any way. Is having no muffler legal? I hear a lot of straight piped trucks so I was wondering if we are all outlaws

You'd be fine running it straight piped. If u ever run into a cop who cares about it, just play it off like u didn't know, "I bought it like that". The ones they should give tickets to are the little honda's that seriously sound like a bee flying around with those buzz box tin can mufflers on the 1" exhaust, lol.
