how much boost will a stock turbo handle?

02, 2500 six speed with juice w/attitude.

 

Although some people run higher boosts, the generally accepted limit for a HX35-12W turbo is around 34 PSIG. Beyond that, you're so far off the turbo's compressor performance map that you're building heat faster than mass flow.

ok, i put the dge juice in and it came with the wastegate boost fitting and it brings the boost up over 34 psi, i just dont want to grenade my turbo. I ll have to take it out and drill it a little bigger to keep it under control. Thanks
