Stock Tranny with Edge Juice

Ok, my ? is with my stock 47re with 78k miles and to my knowledge is in good shape and hasnt been pulled much as far as I know, I only pull 16ft open trailer with mower a few times a week, do you think I will be ok putting a new Edge Juice on it. I get on it some now, but just around town without a load, I wouldnt use it too much for race or anything extreme. Just some smoke here and there. What do you think?

I think that you should at least install a new VB from DTT. I put one in and granted I don't tow but I'm still clicking off 398hp to the rear wheels. It was only designed for 350hp. Once that's done then by all means slap the juice on there and have fun.

You will get converter shudder like crazy in the lower RPM range. I have a new trans with a valve body kit, not the full on VB like an ATS or Suncoast version, and can still shudder my performance single disk converter on the upper levels. The new Juice rocks though!

I was also looking into a Bd pressureloc kit, would this be almost as good as a new VB?

No. A highly machined and fully modified valve body produces more total PSI at WOT than stock valve body. It also produces a whole bunch more PSI at half throttle compared to stock.

All the pressure lock does is hold the stock WOT line pressure when you are at part throttle, which like I said is still less much less than a modded VB.
