Stock boost past 35psi, time for bigger turbo?

I recently added injectors to my mods and with the box turned up I can easily push the boost to 35. What is safe for my truck and turbo. Looking to get a ATS Aurora 2000 or 3000 single, Good idea at this point? Let me know what yall think.

I'm assuming that you mean the Bosch RV injectors?

Is 35 the max boost you can hit? That is about the max you want to run on the HX-35, but you would see some benifit with a 62 class turbo, at the expense of a little spool. Personally I would want to run as small a turbo as I could get away with EGT wise, to spool as quickly as possible. What do your EGTs look like?

If you are just tickling 1300* and not staying there you are within the safe range. At the top of it, but still ok. A biggert turbo would cool it down though. Which would be nice if you tow.

35PSI out of the stocker is fine, you would probably notice a little better control on egt's with a good upgrade but I wouldn't worry too much about it at the moment. IMO. With all my fuel set on KILL I can push mine to 51PSI until the wastegate opens and then it will slowly flutter down to about 45-46PSI, I have only done this twice since doing a few more mods since I don't want to kill it. My wastegate is set at 36PSI btw, I am turbo shopping now before I damage this thing... lol.

Or you could go backwards towing. The bigger turbo will likely spool better and help with WOT temps but might not work as well towing where your RPM is ussually much lower. Do some research before you buy one. A critical thought is what RPM and fueling it will spool at and what RPM you like to tow at.

But like Tex says, if you are just tickling a bit over 1300F when running at WOT then you are almost perfect for both worlds. Of course, that is just my opinion. I found that the HX35 tows pretty well most of the time till it gets overfueled.

My fear is that is he tows much weight his EGTs would become to high. But I was thinking of my truck, he can turn the Juice down if he needs to.
