Still wont start

My fuel gelled this winter and my truck has been sitting for about a month and now it wont start. I replaced the filter and have primed the pump to get fuel into the filter and it still wont start. I cracked the lines to try get fuel to spray out, and no fuel. Could my pumps have gone bad.

If so, it would suck to have to put a stupid pump on it.

Did you try to manually prime it? There is a manual prime button on the side of my lift pump which you can push to get fuel up through the pump.

If you have fuel in the filter lossen the fitting where it goes into the pump, prime till fuel is there. Tighten that, then loosen some injector line on top of the pump and prime or crank it over till fuel there then tighten them. Loosen 3 injector lines at the injectors and crank till fuel gets there and tighten rite up. loosen 2 others or 3 and crank it and it should start, and tighten the other rite up. Do you have some kind of treatment stuff in it power service or howes or something, that will help thaw it out to.

I put some PS in the tank about a week ago. I can hear the shutoff move, but cannot see it while I am in the truck. I will try to start it with some help to see if I can watch the shutoff move. I primed the fuel to get it into the filter but I didnt think I could prime it past the injection pump.

I will try to start it again today after 3:00.

Thanks for the thoughts

HEY, POWER SERVICE IS FINE HOWEVER IF YOU HAVE GELLED YOU NEED 911 PS IN A RED BOTTLE MAYBE PUT A DROPLIGHT UNDER YOUR FUEL PUMP TO GET THAT AREA WARMED BACK UP ...OR ONE OF THOSE HEAT GUNS (BLOW DRYER)

It has been ~40 degrees here for the past couple of days I thought that would help. I also looked for 911 at auto stores but nobody had it and some didnt know what it was.

Any commercial truck dealer "MACK,PETERBUILT,WESTERNSTAR,KENWORTH, ANY" WILL HAVE 911...that is what its for ...you gel...pour it in the tank and it works its way through by itself...

HOWEVER if you can dump the fuel filter and fill the filter with the reg PS then prime it til solid...she should go...,luck ,Flip

it's been warm enough here for the past couple days that if it was gelled it should be ok now, I would start looking somewhere else.

After about 20min of hand priming, and loosening the injector line, I got fuel to spray out of the line. Once I tightened them, it started up and in no time I was out on the street with my buddy and his turbo mustang edited by admin

It looks like I will have to make up a new excuse to get a new injector pump

Just pretend its broke. Dump some oil on it so it looks like its leaking and tell yourself its time for a new one.
