Sticky boost gauge
Sticky boost gauge
I know this was covered once before, but I can't find the info now that I need it. What should I do w/ an Autometer Ultralite that seems to stick on zero when building boost then suddenly snaps up? Is there an easy fix or did I get a bum gauge?

Seems to work normal after the boost comes up, nice and smooth.

Thanks

Joe
Re:Sticky boost gauge
My gauge does it when it's real hot outside,, my fix is a moderate "tap" on the side of the A-Pillar. my Gauge only sticks for the first few times it comes off Zero, then it works fine for the rest of the time.

Merrick Cummings Jr

Re:Sticky boost gauge
Make sure the tube isn't binding somewhere. I have Isspro, it was sticking at about 6lbs when there should have been no boost. I popped it out of the pillar and adjusted the tube. It occasionally does it at 2 now. I have just been tapping it, but plan on getting rid of the plastic tube for a stainess.
