stereo amplifer mounting locations
Yeah they do...we have a 500/1 and a 500/5 mounted like that in my brother's Chevy, but his is a crew cab and the back seat folds away from the back wall perfect for adjusting them like that!
Might have to bend me up a sheet of stainless and mount them under the back seat...if I mount them on plywood or MDF under there they get too tall, and raising the back seat makes it even more uncomfortable!
Whatever I do, I need to make room for a 500/1 and a 450/4...this truck will have a complete JL system, instead of a 300/4 Pioneer amp for the components!

i have my amp just laying under the driver seat, but i would like to figure out a way to mount it. the amp is too large with the floor being nowhere close to flat. i would mount it behind the rear seat but i cant figure out how to get it down. does it fold down or does it have to be unbolted to come down?
I mounted my 300/4 Jl amp under the middle front seat and my 250/2 Jl amp to the custom sub box behind the seat. What a pain that was fitting the 10" sub behind the seat in a standard cab. The only option was too loose the middle of the big tray behind the seat. I won't be in a hurry to do another stereo again. I ran all JL Audio speakers and amps so I hope they last awhile.
