gauge mounting locations

Where have you mount all your gauges? I am thinking of the autometer a piller double gauge mount, or a 3 gauge mount on the dash.

Two gage pillar mount. I really like it although its getting a bit crowded over there with the stock tach!

I got a dash tach and a 2-gauge pillar pod. (Nobody makes 3-gauge pillar pods for us antique guys. ) (Pics in the gallery.)

If I could do it again I'd just get dash mounts. I'm only 5'8", so I can't really glance at the top pillar pod as easily as I'd like to be able to and, if I were to mount the gauges on the dash, they wouldn't get in my vision anyways.

Then again, I could always just drop the pillar pod, but I'm too lazy to do that... And I'd have to sacrifice two screw holes instead of one.

I mounted a 4 gage unit above my rearview mirror. Out of sight from prowlers, but very visible and out of the way for me.

I have seen people take two two-pod pillar mounts and graft them into one four-pod pillar mount.

My tach is dash-top mounted dead center.

Water temp, oil-pressure, and future fuel-pressure are in a dash-top pod on my right.

Truck vacuum and trailer vacuum are below dash to my right.

Boost and pyro are dead center, immediately below tach, between speedometer and fuel-level gauge.

I have seen gauges mounted in the windshield facing surface of hood-scoops; they are very easily read and highly visible, also much easier to run cables.

I use both of those - two on the pillar and three on the dash. No dual-function gages.

Well, bidding on a triple pod for dash. Autometer has a 2 gauge pillar mount- ATM15198 from Summit.

BTW, I can't post pics, why?
