SPS 66 and other turbo questions
Alright, I did some searching last night and it seems like everyone has their own opinion and it is really confusing. I have the mods in my sig and I tow pretty often. I found a good deal on a SPS 66 and downpipe and I am just wondering if it will work. I know the SPS 62 is probably what most will recommend but for the same money would the 66 and downpipe be a better deal?
Or, give me some other turbo options, I really would be happy with an hx40 lol I am trying to not spend a ton of money on the truck anymore....let's here some opinions

Go with a s300 (more reliable then a hx40) if a 62 or 64/14 is outa the ?...got to keep rpms up for the 66 to stay effective with minimal lag...If you can deal with the lag of the large charger go for it...I did

I have big stupid 3 stg injectors a fass and a cp3 on the way with a 6spd haisley clutch, I have towed 20k. I have no experiance but I beleive this turbo would be hard to deal with if you have an auto. But I have towed haevy weight below 2000 rpm's and havent surged or anything.

I dont recomend it if your gonna tow. Mine empty runs hot enough in situations where i have to down shift back to thrid and wind it out to cool it off. Go with a 62-14.

SPS62 is about as big as I would want to go. A little lag even with m4's but livable. towing 12k no problem with box at 2. It is rare for me to see egt temps greater than 1250F preturbo and it is usually when I have it turning too slow.
To have fun just keep the rpm's up.

I'd vote for a 62 as well, 66 are to laggy to tow with unless in a CR they spool chargers alot better then these 24v's, some with manual trannys say its not that bad but they can control it better with a stick
