Red face speed limeter?

Hey all Ive got a question about my truck. I have had her for allmost 4 months now and love her more than any I have had in the past.
Yesterday cruising down the Tollway here west of Chicago a couple of ricers came up behind me at a pretty good clip. When they came up beside me I hammered down. At 105 I passed them both, and at 115 ( and 3200 rpm) They were history. Now I dont regulerly drive like this but I was wondering what she would do. And I hate all these ricers around here driving as if they had bigblocks.
My Question is , dont these trucks have limeters on them? I bought this truck from an older guy just north of me and I know he had a box on it before. But there is not one now (yet). It dose have a straight pipe and bhaf, but thats it. Does this sound right, Could she have injectors or some thing?
Thanks all and god bless...Jay...

It must have some injectors in it. Factory injectors will fall flat on their face after 2700 rpm, and you mentioned pulling clean to 3200 rpm. That won't happen with just an EZ.

As for the speed limiter, you need to put what kind of trans you have in your sig. Most of us fill in basics about the truck (trans, axle ratio etc) in addition to the stuff in your sig.

Your best bet to see if it has aftermarket injectors is to monitor EGTs. EGT with just the EZ will stay perfectly safe. But with injectors, you could conceivable melt the engine, given the right circumstances.

You need to get GAUGES on that thing YESTERDAY. You could be flying blind, routinely seeing torch-hot EGT and endangering the truck-- and not know it!

At least get a pyrometer. Then fuel pressure, then boost. I consider all 3 to be essential, but the pyro is the most important.

I don't know about all that... My truck completely stock pulled to 3100 strong then fell off a bit before hitting 33. With the commercial pump it now drops dead at 2700.

With my truck, the defueling was noticeable at 2700, though it would pull (reluctantly) to 3200. After I went to larger injectors, it seems MUCH stronger between 2700 and 3200, though I rarely take it up there.

Sorry guys , My truck has a five speed stick and not sure of the gears. It does have a limeted slip on her. I looked all over the axle to see if would say and it did not.
I have been wanting to get gauges but have had a few unexpected bills as of late.
And on that note I am going to update my sig right now. Because I havent hooked up My EZ box yet, that is why I am so surprised at the performance.
I allso seem to blow a bit more smoke than other Ctd's around here. I will scrape up some cash and do the gauges right away. I love this truck to much to kill her....
