Is there something wrong with the configuration in my signature?

Uh. [glow=green,5,300]STICKERS!!! [/glow] DUH!! You need a big ol' Japanese character smeared across yer hood, man!

Seriously though... how much boost were you making? Have you checked to make sure the boots aren't leaking? When the guages were installed, my dad's 95 was only making 6PSI until the intercooler boots were tightened. Those were tightened and now it's somewhere around 20.

brandon.

Why do you assume it was a "stock Ford Explorer"?
[/quote]

Maybe he had a 12V Cummins, twins and a Stoopid pump under the sheetmetal...

well nothing really lost here yet. You are prolly the only one that knew you were racing. So just figure out what he's got and what you need to do then next time blow his doors off. He will think that you could always do it and just got tired of his guff.

Be that as it may... It's there. There is a road that follows the Ohio River in SE Indiana (SR 156). A road leaves that road and turns NW. The elevation goes from 384' to 1100' in less than a mile. There are a few steep hills in SE IN, but they aren't very long. . Sorry if it doesn't sound right. :-

Re:Spanked by a Ford Explorer

Well now...

See, I had a "sleeper" exploder...actually the mercury mountaineer...a fancy explorer..302 V-8, with a whipple charger..put out 330 hp..was a very quick little truck..embarrassed many a mustang & camaro with that little charmer..you probably ran up against one similarly equipped..its a very common upgrade to those trucks..I actually miss it..But, it won't run with my CTD...not now anyway..

Re:Spanked by a Ford Explorer

Don't feel bad, I've been trying to get this guy to play around a bit on the hwy (he has a psd), FINALLY! I get him to take a run, he nails it and I nail it, only one problem, my apps sensore acts up and I have no throttle! >....I looked pretty stupid with a "SUCK FUMES FORD BOY" Sticker on my back window and getting ford fumes blown in my face. :-[

We get those ferd exploders at work for cop cars, and they are no sloutch! They will get up and buggy. If it had the v-8 with a auto tranny, I could see him leaving you, sorry I hate to say it. :'(

That could have been a buddy of mine he has an Explorer with the Whipple super charger and his wife drives it like she stole it. That car will light the tires at 60 mph.

well about 3 months ago i was entering a hwy straight on and from the right hand side was a constuction site a truck pulled out I wasn't paying to much attention til i saw black smoke and he was pulling away fast. so ofcourse i stepped on it and caught up to mister psd new 6.0 to boot well he tried it again and again. I didnt beat him but he went nowhere and was shocked when i pulled along side him. everytime i started to really move as to pass him at high speed he backed off so i left him he tried to catch up after but gave up. not to many people will mess with a dually especially when you pull out in front of them going side ways

2001 dually lthr loaded ez ,afe cold air kit, guages, remote start
