Hey everyone,

I really don't know much about the turbos on these trucks, or turbos in general lol. I know how they work and all, but I'm not sure how to match a turbo with what you want to do with your truck.

I will probably stop at about 300-350hp on my truck. I will be doing a #10 plate, 3kgsk, you know the drill, the common 12v bombs.

Anyway, assuming that everything is in good condition would a 12cm Hc1 housing be a good idea?

To be completely honest I'm not even sure if that would be the only thing I would need and if it would just bolt right up to my hx35, so can someone help me out a bit?

If all you want is a plate and GSK, you will be fine with the stock turbo.

And the factory housing is 12cm.

 

Both your 96's came stock with HX-35 and 12 cm² wastegated turbine housing.

Somone is probably selling the 12 cm² housing because they upgraded to a 14 or 16 cm² housing which would be your same options.

 

Oh ok for some reason I thought that stock was 14...

The size should be cast right into the housing or at least all mine have been.
