How fast does the engine idle on all the different programs?

I hear it idles lower on fuel saver mode?

What's the mileage on the smart programs?

thanks

Dan
Same as what Mike D said, but I know that high idle won't kick in on mine if it is plugged in for a few hours.

As for milage, I only have 190 miles on #9, its too soon to say, but I'll have a solid number later in the week. Other people will probably post some milage numbers later too.

I ordered mine today. It will be nice to correct the speedo. It's 5MPH slow. It gets me in trouble all the time.

Just got mine today, 1st program I did was of course #9, No prob at all, Pedal isnt touchy like some said. I love it. Turbo only hit ~23 psi???? I gotta do the turnbuckle. so I put it on the fuel saver for now. until I get to Homedepot and get that turnbuckle thingy hooked up. So hopefully the tranny doesnt start protesting now!

That was one of my justifications for getting the Smarty, and it seems to work really well. Maxxis lists my tires as 34.2" in diameter, so I put 34.25 into the Smarty (it accepts .25" increments) and it's nearly dead-on as near as I can tell from the second hand on my watch and interstate mile markers.

So I recovered part of the cost of my Smarty by selling the Superlift box I bought for that reason but hadn't installed. Much easier with the Smarty, too, rather than tapping wires and running even more stuff through the firewall.

Its not the comp that defuels- its the ecm that defuels @ 2700. With the smarty that is gone. Now from what I understand drag comp adds fuel at a higher rate than the ecm is defueling in order to run hard to redline. Run a smarty with a drag comp and you'd be seeing some crazy fueling on top.

I filled up tonight and I'm happy to report that my fuel milage wasn't as bad I thought it would be.
This is on a stock 2000 6-speed, with a boost elbow I made to get a little more boost.
I averaged 16.5 mpg on my normal trips back and forth to work on #9.
My normal average ranges from 16 to 17.5 with the winter fuel.

I'm going to try the fuel saver setting next and see how that works out.

Hey, I really don't want to , but i am really anxious to hear about fuel milage numbers with the Smarty, along with any other detailed comments from those of you fortunate to already have one! It would be easier to justify dropping $650 if I heard of some good milage responses. It would also be awesome if someone could scan the Smarty owner's manual and post it up, I would really enjoy reading throught it, but maybe thats just me.....

I could afford a Smarty now, but I was planning on spending that money on gauges. Is it as necessary to have gauges with the Smarty as opposed to a normal fueling box? Ideally I would get both now, but my checkbook doesn't like the sound of that. I suppose I should still get gauges first.....?

I'm basically stock except for the Smarty and I think you would be ok without gauges unless maybe you tow heavy or often. I haven't noticed any significant change in EGT's.

I would get the gauges first. At the very least you should get a fuel pressure gauge. If you don't you could end up spending alot of money in the near future on a $$vp44.

Not much to go on, but running SW #9 for half a tank didn't change my fuel mileage at all that I could tell. I'll know more in a couple weeks after I run out the tank I'm on now.

Trouble in River City folks.

I got my Smarty today and it didn't work with my 99. I called Bob Wagner and he said: "Some 98.5's & 99's don't work with the Smarty, they are working on a fix."

Buyer beware.
