Slipping clutch after Banks instal

New to the forum and hoping someone might be able to help me out. Have a 2000 2500 cummins with 5 speed trans with 106000 miles. Added a Banks kit to it about a year ago. Ever since install I have been having what feels like the clutch slipping. Its a very brief break in power, always in 5th gear. and always when pulling a grade. Cannot make it happen, only does it when it wants to. Might go months and thousands of miles in between occurances. Thought it was a problem with the Banks instal to begin with but now think it may be my clutch slipping. But would think if it was the clutch that I should be able to make it slip but cant. Anyone with similar issues with Banks kit?

Thanks

The hp increase from a Banks kit is low so it won't hurt your drive train.
That's one of their selling points.
I think your clutch was on it's way out before the Banks install.

If this were facebook, I would hit the "like" button.
Welcome to a fine forum, dan baker.

my first upgrade was a vanaaken box, truck was still almost new and it made my clutch slip.....the stock clutches are border line at best, they will just hold stock power........any upgrades like fueling boxes or injectors will most likely cause it to slip,at least it did mine

That description sounds more like "dead pedal" than slipping clutch. If the engine doesn't race when it does it, it's not the clutch slipping. Do a search for "dead pedal" if this sounds right to you.

Thanks for the "dead pedal" tip. Have rulled out that its not the clutch which still leaves me with trying to figure our whats going on with it. Tried search for dead pedal on the web with no luck. Will keep searching.
