Slide fuel plate forward, no extra power?
Slide fuel plate forward, no extra power?
I got bored yesterday and finally had some spare time so I decided to tinker with my truck a little. I slide the fuel plate all the way forward and also slid the AFC cover all the way forward. Then I cranked my starwheel forward but not all the way. I went for a test drive and didn't really notice much of a difference. Maybe I was expecting too much. The fuel plate was in the middle before, and I was able to move the AFC cover maybe an extra centimeter forward. The only way I know there was some difference is that my EGTs were 100 degrees hotter under full throttle, but it didn't feel any faster. There isn't really all that much distance between "full forward" and "full rearward" on both the plate and AFC cover either. I left my wastegate how it was, at 30 psi.
