Banks Plate...Slide or not to slide

Guys,

My friend installed a Banks plate this weekend on his 97 3500 5-speed and he is wondering if he should slide the plate forward, housing forward or both. Moreover, should he adjust the star wheel when he does this or just leave it alon. Finally, should he be concerned with EGT's since he doesn't have any gauges yet. Any information would be appreciated.

Joe

Re:Banks Plate...Slide or not to slide

I would not slide it until he gets guages. 300 for guages or 400+ for a turbo.
