Question Skyjacker D25's

Has anyone installed just the d25 coils not the whole kit? How do they look/work with stock shocks? Thanks for any input

Thanks for the info. I was hoping that I could still use the stock shocks for now. I was thinking that sometime in the spring I would buy the other half of the class 2 lift (links, bumpstops, etc...). On that note does anyone have any experiences be it good or bad with the class 1 & 2 lifts and the single and double flex versions. Any and all responses greatly appreciated.

You can use the OEM shocks with the D25s. Just don't go off-road or let the truck top out. The OEM shocks are too short.

You won't want to go double flex. The single flex is the way to go. When you go with Heims at the frame connection, you lose some lateral stability on the control arms-- thus the truck will want to wander.

The single flex helps things track a little straighter while still giving you more flex inthe front axle.

BTW-- the new Bilsteins (brushed aluminum finish) worl well with the D25s.

I've been waiting for my stockers to die before I replace am as they were fairly new when I got the springs

you're right they are a bit short and do top out a full suspension extension

funny thing is I've left the ground on several occasions and drive at high speed on a VERY rough gravel road and the **** things still won't die .............. I was expecting them to be puking oil or puled apart after the first trip home, but they're still going strong after 20,000km

I guess the munro's are tougher than I thought

The new shocks were absolutely needed when I put my D25's on last weekend. The good news is that the D25's and Procomp ES3000's are a 100% improvement over the stock springs and Bilsteins they replaced. Wish I'd done it from day 1.
