There's an earlier thread on this forum, somewhere. <br><br>You do need a compressor, and you can either rent it for $15 or buy it for a few bucks more. It also *really* helps to have a small bottle jack that you can place between the frame and the control arm stop to get that last inch-and-a-half of space. If you rotate the D25's correctly on the spring pad, you can get an extra half-inch clearence -- the end of the spring on the bottom has to be toward the front, if I remember my own install correctly. The passenger shock will lift out up through the engine compartment if you remove the air filter assembly. The drivers-side shock is tougher, but you can work it forward and up through the brake plumbing, or take it out with the spring. <br><br>GP

I did mine myself in about an hour. I did not use any special tools, but I did use the jack from inside the truck. I did one side at a time. Jacked the truck up and supported the frame with a jackstand. Removed the front wheel and shock assembly. Then I used the jack to spread the control arm to get enough clearance. Then just bolted it all back together and went through the same process on the other side.<br><br>Doug

Update:<br><br>A buddy & I installed the D25's & Bilstein 5100's Friday night. I am extremely happy. ;D Truck sits perfectly level & the ride is so much better. Those red D25's look awsome with the silver & black bilsteins. ;D ;D ;D
