should upgrade?
Is he pushing 345 to the wheels or the engine? I'm gonna assume he's got an EGT gauge pre turbo on it. If he's at 345 to the wheels with his stock HX35 then he's probably running pretty high egt's (1300*+) which is not good. An hx35/40 hybrid would work great if that's all the power he wants. If he wants more, then a piers HX40 would allow more room for power upgrades. Or better yet, a version of the B1 (I think there's 4 versions depending on what you want). Tell us what he's got done to his truck and we can give you some better advice.
I'm guessing he doesn't have an EGT gauge yet? The EGT's may get pretty hot with the 12cm housing. I could hit 1450 with the Banks crap and that's was with a 14cm housing at only 330 hp. Have him try it on the street and see hot it gets at WOT in high gear.
FWIW, a 12cm HX35 boosting at only 30 psi @ 1100* egt is not making 345 RWHP....probably far from it. 345 RWHP is on the high side for a HX35 and boost and egt would have to be considerably higher with this turbo to make it happen......what fueling mods have been done?
