I am looking for a tool box that will fit at the front of the bed without interfering with the B&W fifth wheel adapter. Since my truck is a short box, a standard tool box is just too big, not allowing room for the base of the hitch. Also, I would like the box to be below bed height since the trailer I pull does not leave very much room at all.
Anybody know of a place that has something like this, or am I looking at haveing to get one built? Doesn't need to be real big, just to store chains and rope and such and be weather tight.

 

ill be damned if i remeber the brand i have. its the one that starts with a w i think.... its does NOT sit on the bed rails. it has about 6 inches or so on each side so you can still slide things the entire length of the bed. and its not wide(deep) cuz i know i could still fit a 5th hitch if needed.. Ill try and get some pics tongiht... Im sure other will chime in...

i have a Weather Guard that is just deep enough to fit a 4-way in it (doesn't even lay flat). doesn't come over the bed rails but sticks up maybe 1 or 2 inches. i can take a picture of it if you like. I have a short bed also so you can see how it would look in yours.

 

I have a Better Built (name brand) in the bed tool box. Sits about 1" below bed sides.
