5th Wheel Tool Box for Short Bed

Does anyone have any suggestions for a 5th wheel tool box for the 2003 3500 SRW Dodge QC SB that sits on the floor. It would have to be smaller due to the clearance between the front of the wheel-well and the back of the bed. What are you short bed users using?
Thanks for any suggestions.

I have a toolbox that sits on the truckbed and is the same height as the pickup box sides. This allows me to havea soft tonneau cover when I'm not travelling. The box has a sloping front panel that follows the slope of the wheel well for about 6 inches, and then becomes vertical. There is lots of volume in this toolbox.

I've seen one that goes between the hitch and endgate. Tough to access if your hooked up though. Lots of boxes out there for in front that are only rail high. Some sit right on the floor, some are raised a couple of inches so you could slide plywood or 2x material under it. Delta, PCI, DeeZee etc.

Re:5th Wheel Tool Box for Short Bed

KenR

I have a long bed with a saddle box behind the cab. I wanted another box just for my 5th wheel stuff like a hydrolic jack and some other stuff. I found a nice little box at Wal Mart for about 35 bucks. It holds a lot of stuff. nice thing is it is lower than the sides of the box and you can get to it pretty easily. If you would like a pict I can take one and send it to ya. The only thing is I don't think it's a great box if ya have to lock it. But if you don't need a lock it's great. They do make one with a lock for about 50 bucks. I guess ya could fashon a hasp on er and lock it. I don't bother

Hope this helps

Gary

Thanks for all the help all of you provided.

Just to let you know I found the Toolbox I wanted at Lowe's. It is a "Better Built", item # 162946, Model 62011284, cost $197.00 plus tax. It sits on the floor and will fit the Short Bed just fine and still allows a view of the hitch. Looks good and will do what I need. they also have some larger ones that should fit the long bed if you require a larger one.
