You may also consider the Monroe Reflex shocks. I just put a pair on my '99 and they have excellent ride control and quality. YMMV, as always.

Not to turn this into a shock war thread as I honestly feel if something works for you then great. But I have to say that I've read many times and even heard from someone in person that those Monroe Reflex shocks dont last on these trucks. The engine is over 1000 lbs alone so the suspension moves a lot and any shock with enough rebound/dampening built in them to maintain a decent ride has to be strong in order to last.
I have Rancho 9000's but I've only heard good things about Bilsteins.

So, are you intimating that the manufacturer, who specifically lists the shocks that I acquired are for my truck, with a gvw of 8,800lbs and a diesel engine didn't design and spec the shock for the additional weight? Check back with me next year and I'll let you know how they are holding up.

In saying that, I certainly hope your shocks serve you well and do last.....
