Pop the center with the shift pattern painted on it out with a small flat screw driver. Then take off the nut. The treads are metric, good luck trying to find something to screw on it.

To further expand on the situation, I had put a Coors keg spigot handle on my shifter on my '99 3500 4x4. The cluth started to go out of it and I had problems shifting. After I got fed up and started swearing at my $30,000 pos that wouldn't shift, I proceeded to ram the shifter forward with brute force. The plastic handle broke and the threads on the shifter split my middle finger from the ring finger on my right hand and it took five stitches to sew me up. Keep this in mind when putting plastic shifter on. I know. How dumb.

I've got a Hurst T handle shifter on mine. I like it.

You need the one for metric threads.

Its 10mm x 1.5 pitch

WHere's that? I'm about 30 miles N. of I-64, on the state line across from IN.
