Leather shift **** for 6spd?

I'm looking for a leather shift **** to replace the black plastic **** on my 6spd. Has anyone on the board done this yet? The only brand I found that might work is from Autotechnica.
Also would like to find a metal data plate showing the shift quadrant if I change out the shifter.

Thanks

MikeyB

Re:Leather shift **** for 6spd?

Tried several of the aftermarket junk on mine with the it fits everything adapters and was disappointed as they usually wont stay tight on the gear stick. My brother made me one from stainless steel and polished it that threads directly on to the existing threads, problem solved. PK

Thanks for the info. I'm trying to avoid the metal ***** since I live in Texas. After sitting in the hot sun I'll be the one wearing the leather before grabbing the ****!

MikeyB

That would bring back some memories! Back in my school boy days summer job was driving a Mormon tanker with the Cummins NTC400/Eaton Roadranger 13spd. ;D
Still have the overdrive switch on it?

MikeyB

Yessir
I wanna get my hands on a Rockwell 10spd ****. All the cruise controls are built into the ****. So, a guy could run an accessory off of those.
