Setup advice and help
Setup advice and help
I have a 97 auto 4x4 with 370 marine injectors, a #5 plate all the way forward, an hx35/40 hybrid turbo, a beefed up trans with a low stall convertor (1800 rpm, I think), afe air intake, 4 in straight pipe, and the 3 main guages. Im getting my timing advanced next week and thinking 16* and installing 3k gsk then as well. Its a daily driver with a 4.5 inch lift and 315/75/16 rolling under her. Just wondering if this setup sounds good and if there is anything that i may have to worry about with the 3k gsk and advanced timing. thanks in advance guys.

Almost forgot. I was also looking for a fuel pressure gauge. Are there any electric ones or are they all mechanical for the 12v? and is the best place to mount it in the banjo bolt on the injection pump? or should I go the easy way out and just get the warning light that genos sells?

16 degrees sounds good, as well as the 3KGSK, should be a nice strong setup. On a 12 valve, fuel pressure is important, but our mechanical lifts pumps will easily keep up to what you have. I wouldn't worry about a guage unless it's something you really want to look at every 3 seconds.
