Serious Turbo/injector question

Well I'm looking at bombing my truck again! haven't put any serious mods on it in almost a year due to switching jobs and repairing various things on the truck, but the time as come for what I think my next mod should be a turbo, and i'm most likely going to install a FASS system at the same time, right now I get about 8psi WOT with my current mods with the comp on 5x5.

My question is which turbo is good for a 99 auto, looking at going single turbo, decent price and possibly hitting high 12's in the 1/4 with my current mods + FASS or maybe without I think its possible, I've looked at the B-1 Models, and the 64-14, which I've heard is a good one as well, also seen a few used ones for a decent price, usually a little over half the retail price, I'm also wondering if it'd be a good idea to upgrade my injectors, right now i'm using the DDIII's and I don't have a lot of smoke, just if i get into it from no boost it leaves a nice cloud kind of looking for a nice constant trail of smoke, but thats not too important

Well before I get off topic, which turbo would you guys recommend? and if so injectors as well? since I'll be probably upgrading my lift pump with the FASS system, unless you'd recommend a different pump, anyways thanks for reading!

did you have your twin on your 13.0? I remember seeing quite a few 12 second trucks with a single turbo, I've seen one in person run 12.2's with some nitrous and single turbo and just an edge comp as a fueling box, anyways suggestion on a turbo?

Thats a 64/12 single turbo and 175 sticks on Mike's truck. 200 hp injectors and a 66 turbo will be good for the track but might be a pain for daily driving or towing =P

I would look at the new HTT-QD65ss, Pair this up with some larger injectors and you would be in the 12's.

havent towed with it yet but i have 200 sticks and a 66mm turbo and the daily driving is excellent. better than stock even! and with the TST off there is no smoke unless i floor it from idle. normal driving i never seen any smoke.

I would look into the BD, or ATS turbos, they have lots of options.

Searched for the HTT-QD65ss and couldn't come up with anything, was looking at a few 64-14's then the silver bullet caught my attention....but I doubt it would be that fun around town, since even the stock turbo takes a bit to spool at times. I'm looking at making over 500 hp and even more with a few more mods, from what I've heard a 64-12 or 64-14 would be a good thing, don't have the money for twins right now, and not looking at running close to 50 psi so my studs should be fine for now, thanks for the input so far, any more suggestions?

edit: found htt's site and the HTB2 KILLER B2 64 actually seems around what I want, and is a decent price, i know a previous poster had this same one, so i'll try and read more up on this one thanks.

Sorry for the confusion on my sig. kind of looks like twins, but all I have is a 64/12 Killer B turbo from HTT. The new stainless housings sound promising as Doug mentioned.

I plan on being in the 12's by the end of this summer, one way or another.

np about your sig, kinda looked like a twin turbo set up was wondering why your power was what it was, but I'm seriously thinking about the same turbo you have, sounds like it will do what I want with decent spool up and will stay around the boost I want, not sure what its max efficient boost is, guess I'll figure that out after i do some studs and o-rings, now time to lay out my wish list and start to get serious about ordering!

Think my injectors will be fine for that turbo? or should I go bigger right away?

Thanks for putting me in my place buddy Just regurgitating what most people say about big singles on autos. That is a pretty sweet combo you've got on your truck

I hadn't heard anything about HTT offering 65 mm inducer turbos, but I'm sure the info will come trickling in soon.

Well here's the info thats been posted thus far: https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...d.php?t=140507

So you've got the htb2 line, then the HT71 line with the big turbine, and now the SS line with the big turbine and a custom housing. Good thing we've got knowledgeable guys like Doug around to make good recommendations
