Think my injectors will be fine for that turbo? or should I go bigger right away?

HTT told me max efficient boost was around 50 lbs. I've towed some pretty decent loads with this turbo and it worked surprisingly well.

few week old post of mine i'm bumping,

Was doing some research, but I'm thinking of either a ht 71/62 or a htb2 64/14, I know the site says that the 71 series is better, and people have surging issues with the 71/64 and up, which is why i'm looking at the 62 series, and the hp between the two i'm looking at is about 25 hp difference, this is from htt's site, My question is: Is there a major difference between the two series? and would the 71 series be my best bet? or stick with the older model but bigger turbo? seems like the output is about the same, thanks for feedback.

I don't think you'd see a huge difference. Charlie8301 ran a comparable 62 and 64/14 from industrial injections and found the 64 to be slightly slower to spool, but cooled better at wot with his mach 1.5 injectors. I don't think you need to go any bigger than a 62. You would probably be pretty happy with a 62/12 and still have (almost?) enough air for 500 hp.

I just ordered HTT's 62/13 stainless. Seems like a great idea to me. I need to maintain some towing and driveability, and ZI only have 100hp sticks. Not sure where this will put me, hopefully over the 500hp mark.

i would go with the 71 series 62mm, they still spool really well from what guys say and that larger 71mm turbine wheel really helps get the heat out alot better. i think you would be happier with the new 71 series 62, over the old style 64.
