Scheid DD Wont Shift Correctly...

I have Scheid's DD clutch in my truck with about 5 - 7k on it. The more I drive it the worse the shifting gets. Its very notchy in all gears and sometimes is hard to get in gear at all, especially reverse. A guy from Scheid told me the clutch may possibly need to be adjusted. Is this hard to do? Im pretty new to this DD so I don't know much about it. I put a new master/slave in when I installed the clutch so I know its not that...Any help?

thats exactly how my DD is. haisley street puller (which is probally the same thing you have). very rough and jumpy, hard getting into gear, especially 3rd and reverse.

one thing that will help is to slip it real hard once in awhile. when shifting from 3rd to 4th go ahead and bring up the rpms...then proceed to ride the clutch a lil bit. kinda like when you are coming out of the hole in sled pulling. it will clean the glaze off the discs. after doing that you will notice a difference at the first stop sign you pull out from.

If you installed heavy duty hydrulics, it adjust up at the pedal. Adjust the threaded rod.

Thanks for the input guys. As far as the fluid goes I just put new amsoil in also thinking that was the problem. Helped for the first ten miles, then was back to normal. I will take a look at adjusting the pedal, but I didn't know there was any adjustment. And I will also try slipping it from 3rd to 4th...what if i wanted to practice some boosted launches??? That could be fun.
