Propuller, that last code you said you have P0216, That is the "your vp44 is dead code". I had the same code/codes, new pump cured the problem.

I ordered a new Piers Race pump today

..Hopefuly i can pick up another 30 or 40 horse in the swap.Funny thing is my truck never set a check engine light & it runs ok except for the high rpm miss & the low rpm surging & bucking.I also get a flat spot right off idle when my box is on.Maybe i can get Don to give me a good deal on a set of mach 6 injectors to slip in her when shes apart

Kurt, I pretty sure I know whats wrong with your truck now.

Since you call it a "she" I suspect you chopped your RAMS gonads off? Its now a Ewe and RAMS dont like sex changes. LOL!!
