not a dumb question i get it all the time when i talk about the box. the surging is just a matter of the responsiveness being so crisp just like quad said, it feels like when you run out of fuel and the truck starts to kind of buck. its hard to explain but if you can just imagine the truck bucking because it wants to deliver fuel but there is no real throttle input. its not as bad as if you were out of fuel but it is there.

ok quad i have bone to pick with you guys! i almost crashed my truck showing off what this box will do! i expect when i do crash into a ditch from the excessive fuel, boost, responsiveness and power i now have that i will be compensated.. . kidding, i love this box but i really almost crashed, sure is a whole helluva lot more responsive than my drag comp!

Was this after Bob's Burgers. I totally missed your post on NMTDR or I would have shown up. I'm dying to see the box in action. Still waiting for the call on mine.

just to put it into perspective, dont expect 100 more horsepower or anything its a great box but it still is only a VP44 box. it is more powerful than my comp and broader and more responsive but i just dont want you guys to get disappointed when you plug it in and dont feel a million times the power

Will this new Adrenaline box allow me to get rid of my Smarty? Will it be a better combo than Smarty/Comp stack? I like the Comp top end and the Smarty low end, but would rather just have one adjustable box to mess with.

Good point...it's still a 7k+ truck but like most of us if you've done anything to your truck then you know that even our biggest gains are still relatively modest...but boy howdy do we enjoy it!!!!! I've driven a 2nd Gen with an Edge Comp...and I was suitably impressed, shorty after getting this box in and getting used to tuning I'm gonna switch to at least a F1 Mach 2 injector...of course it will then be turbo time but like the rest of my mods it will be modest...prolly a 62/12. It's my thinking that a good "package" will be a really sweet running truck...with a nasty side!

Hey quad can you call me i need to try and figure out why it wont let me download new files. Stan put a couple of different ones on there this past weekend and i was going to try and do somedifferent ones and now it wont work at all it says invalid module!? I think i have talked to everyone but you. I have had files sent to me by e-mail downloaded the .Net Framework again and have been on the phone with probably 3 different people and them making sure i am trying to do this right and im doing exactly what they say. So if you could get in contact with me. Thanks

I'll let you know after Quad sends me my box. It will make more power than the Smarty/TST stack but I'm still wondering if they found a way around the Torque Guard that the '01 -'02 auto trucks had.

It's my son's birthday. If I can wrangle him away from his mom (she doesn't like the track) then I don't see a reason why I won't be there. Might even bring my pops '00 3500 2wd and see what it does at this altitude.

What time are you all planning on meeting out there??

I think we all understand this, but after trying quads XZT+ out towing 15k# in the mountains, I will be more than happy if I can get that program & still have Drag comp power at the flip of a switch. I'm not expecting to be driving a 8k# Lamborghini by switching modules. How are egts compared to the drag comp? I know that the XZT+ lowered my temps by 150*+ while towing compared to Smarty....less smoke too!
