Quantitative data??
I look forward to your results. No box, drag comp, and quad race dyno runs would be a great comparison as would the traps speeds.

How many mph faster than the smarty/tst run?

9mph

Being a stick it is hard to say that the box was responsible for all of it, but TST Smarty stack was consistantly 91mph 92mph 90mph etc... I ran 5 runs with the quad at 98mph 99mph 100mph... Figured the spred of number was worth something.... I actually missed a shift on my fastest run 5th reverse its all the same right? I was running my 50/50 watermeth on that run

I hope to get some dyno time set up in the next couple weeks and hopefuly get some back to back numbers

its down to a matter of hours now, my ups guy should be calling me any time now to meet him before he does any deliveries. i plan on taking it to the drags this weekend and doing the no box, drag comp, and adrenaline back to back on the same night. as for this week i will see if i can round up any previous smoke victims here in this little town and see how much worse i beat on them..

Well i did some EGT testing on each level on the way back. I am at school and dont have it with me so i can post up later. I did have trouble with the turbo timer on the mild new file and then downloaded a different file and downloaded the mild new back and i have not had any problems with it again. I will post up again later. Oh ye ai will probably go get on a dyno saturday and play around with it.

yea i am friends with the ups guy and met him before he started his route this morning. took me a lil over an hour to install and i like it!! this thing runs as hard as my drag comp on setting 3 and harder as you increase the settings.. the bottom end on this box is sweet! for some reason when i would try to start a burnout it would just bog with my drag comp but with this box i gave it a little throttle and the tires went up in smoke and it shot to 40 psi QUICK. the surging is pretty obvious but i am going to install the agressive new file now that should help. egts got to 1650 (normal) boost got to 48 and was bouncing on my mechanical gauge so i assume the wastegate was doing its job pretty well. it has a nice smooth power delivery and the bottom end is great. i think its going to take some getting used to with this little monitor and not being able to see all the parameters at once.

the boost gauge on the monitor reads low from what my mechanical reads, in holding the brakes in 4x4 i would see 10-15 on the mechanical and 5-9 on the monitor.

great box! im off to upload the aggresive new file now!!

OK here is the EGT's on the drive back.

( cruise is at 70 mph and about 2k rpm) (WOT is from a 70 punch)
With it off cruise-780 WOT-1250
Level 1 "-805 "-1260
Level 2 "-800 "-1262
Level 3 "-800 "1260
Level 4 "-786 " 1285
Level 5 "-804 "1325
Level 6 "-810 " 1336

Dont have nay to compare to the edge comp so not sure on the difference. Also i had my buddy in the truck the whole time watching this off the little moniter so he was the one writing everything down so i have no idea about anything else. The boost guage on the little moniter was a little off. I should get on the dyno this saturday so i can have a little more to compare. I am about to download more files today to play with.

Same here,
I am hoping to get a call soon also. I am in big need of a fuel pressure gauge. Will these gauges hook up differently on a 99 compared to other years?

well it was my first full day with this beast and man does it RUN! i loved it, i had the original aggressive tune for the first part of the day, uploaded the aggressive new and still had surging so i just uploaded mild new and will check that out tomorrow. EGTs compared to the drag comp do get a little toastier, but thats expected with the extra fuel, i can now hit 50 psi (monitor is still off but i let quad know about that this morning) and i still love the bottom end, this thing really is right on the money.

JDGnut, How do you like the box compared to the drag comp?

EDIT: Are those corrected or uncorrected numbers?

I like the added features of the Quad box... it will be nice with the Commander... I like the sub level settings of the Comp Box... Still looking for the right tune for the Quad box... I think that's the biggest feature for the Quad box... If one tune does not work... try something else...

Mike, I'm guessing those are uncorrected numbers.. We were Houston.. basically at sea level... I've dynoed more and less with the Comp box...
