Airdogs are on sale right now for $499.
Then you can get either the Adrenaline with Pulse or an Edge Juice with Attitude. That way you have all your gauges and a programmer to. You'll end up spending $500+ just for gauges.
Stay away from Banks.

my PPE lift pump was only $230 and that is for a 160gph pump. It has been great for the year that I have had it. It's adjustable and a lot quieter then a Fass system. I have it set at 15psi and at wot it drops to 12psi.

Sorry I should have been more clear. I was talking about street trucks, not a drag or sled only truck. But then again some of the big names are trying to go smokeless or less smoke. Banks has done it with there s10 but who cares about dirtyflax. But yes I agree with you that those guy kick out soooooo much fuel that they can't help but to smoke.

Here how you should go......just my .02,

(1) guages- fuel/boost/egt....if you have an auto may look into trans temp guage, if your gonna play I recommend all three, no boost gauge and you won't know what your turbos doing and next thing you know it's laying beside your tire. no egt, turbo meltdown, no fuel gauge, your new 6 gun demands so much fuel you starve the vp and then $1100 for the new vp plus labor unless you diy.

(2) Fass/Airdog/Holley and dump the stock LP

(3) this is the hard one, tuners, you add the 6 gun on a stocker 5/6 spd and you might as well call Valair or Southbend right now. If you've got one of them there auto shifter things, you might as well call Dave Goerand and get something set up, if not now make an appointment in the future for when your auto goes bye-bye. Then with the tuners they got you'll have it set on 6 and find out they offer a download to give you "freaking crazy mad man program" for xxx horsepower
(somewhere in here you can throw some big 5" stacks on that'll make your eardrums bleed-been there)
At this stage you'll be full steam ahead, looking at some injectors that won't fit in the trunk of a compact and turbos that make birds fly for safety.

Fuel pumps- I've seen Airdog on here in the store http://store.dieseltruckresource.com/airdogbypute.html Not a bad deal and a good setup, actually helped install one.

Gauges-depending on what you get. I spent almost $400 on my setup but I got dipricol and the isolator.(Also DIY) labor extra perhaps.

I'd say for a cool $2000 you could have the airdog, gauges and tuner with money left over for the stacks, until your tranny or clutch drop out. This is why I stopped at the power puck, to much additional costs when you start pouring more power to it. Then when you get more horsepower you'll have to look into firerings, head studs and more!! Playing with this stuff ain't cheap and when it breaks...ouch. Everything you add powerwise usually means you'll need to add something else, i.e clutch or input/output shafts....and on and on and on, good luck and have fun with it but I highly recommend the FP gauge.

Talking

Here's my set up. Wish i could have gotten the Pulse before i got the gauges. 2 months after putting in the gauges the Attitude came out. I would have just gotten that and not the gauges, but they look cool!

So if he gets the AD w/Pulse or Juice w/ Attitude he won't need the additional gauges.
