Quadzilla Max Mileage Mod. Results???
Anyone care to share their "real world" results of one that they installed.
Any increase or decrease of your power?
Did it change your powerband any?
Did it change any of the driving characteristics of the truck?
Did it increase your everyday mileage?
Did it increase your highway mileage?
1998.5 24v.-stock

Installed mine 2 weeks ago. SEEMS to have a little more pep. Might be my imagination. I'll post here as soon as I fill the beast again. I have 275 city/freeway miles on this tank so far and it's not down to the 1/2 way mark yet.

It gave my 1999 more get up and go, it is very apparent when you toggle it back and forth from the factory setting to the MAX on setting.
I just filled up and got 18.4 MPG running around, I also put my boat in the lake yesterday and today, so I am pleased with that.
A couple weeks ago I drove into a 40-50 MPH side and head wind and made 21.6 MPG.
I am looking forward to doing a normal road trip and seeing what she will do.
1999 with 5 speed 3.54 gears 275 injectors and 317,000 miles on the clock.

How to install Max Mileage
Have decided I would buy a Quad Max Mileage but I have one problem. I have all the existing firewall rubber grommets full. Since I don't know how long the cables are, I don't know if I can drill a 1" hole over on the passengers side and still reach the sensors. Would appreciate hearing from anyone who has installed their Module!! Wish it was weather proof so all you had to do was run the lead for the switch. I could probably get one cable through but sure don't have room to get the connectors through the firewall. Any help would be appreciated.

I am not certain it will reach from the passengers side? It would be close.
Our grommets are plumb full as well but, we can get the small connector through the firewall pretty easily.
Our biggest thing with weatherproofing the box is the USB port. Those things are pretty finicky and get corroded pretty easily!

Max Mileage First Tow
I have been making trips from Deming, NM to Tucson, AZ on I-10 pulling a 33ft Sunnybrook TT for four years. I always fuel at the same Truck Stops on each trip. Avg MPG towing Dec 06 = 12.184, May 07 = 11.814, Dec 07 = 13.749 ( Max Mileage Module). Eastbound from Benson, AZ you climb from the river bottom up to what is called Texas Canyon, it's really a mountain pass between 2 relatively level stretches of the Interstate. Always in the past I have had to drop to 3rd gear, watch my EGT gauge and back off when ETG goes into the yellow at 850 post turbo. I always keep the torque converter locked when climbing a grade. The trip just completed I pulled the grade in 4th,TC locked up and never got below 60 MPH. The EGT never got above 825 degrees and I didn't have to back out to keep them stable. I passed some big rigs climbing the grade. I am surprised at the improved performance and increased fuel mileage. I will be taking a trip to Omaha, NE in May and will get a greater number of fuel fills and more data to look at. My son lives there and I have made the trip towing 3 times and keep records of fuel usage. It will be interesting to compare results for all four trips.
