Not sure on the wastegate.

High ram is ugly eye candy, with the possible exception of mega HP rigs.

Boost elbow- http://www.tstproducts.com/index.asp...PROD&ProdID=33

big head wastegate is NOT worth it... just use a bleeder elbow to adjust your boost.

Banks is about the last name that you hear around here when anyone talks about their mods. That should give you an idea.Personally I hate any of their stuff, but the brakes are supposed to be good but the exhaust is way overpriced. As for the intake, guys say the ats or htt are better.

Thumbs up Banks power for 12 valves

Banks makes safe Power.
Safe power as in you can floor the throttle and leave it there without worring about your EGT's.
Banks power will usually work with a stock automatic trans . or manual trans.
They are made to be very reliable.
Cost ?
Alot

So you go out and pay a shop to install your Banks system (And because your are not a mechanic it's a wise move!).

While driving home from the shop you pull next to your buddy at a stop light with his 200k mile CTD (That he did "free mods" on.)
You glance over at your buddy and give him the sign! (You know the lets see who can get up to the posted speed limit the fastest sign).

You are having a hard time holding back the grin knowing you are going to blow his doors off with your new Banks power! After all the money you spent you should be able to walk away from him!

The light turns green
You floor it!

????????????

Your buddy litteraly smoked you! Leaving you in a cloud of eh smoke.

PRICELESS
The look on your face when your buddy blasted past you with his stock plate full forward, AFC loosend, and his wastegate plugged. (All Free mods).

This is how Banks has got a bad rap.

Banks builds safe power for the masses
Not so much masses of un safe power.

One thing I know for sure!
Banks knows how to make serious power!

I've seen it in person.
From what I can tell Banks saves the real power for the race track where it belongs!

My Banks system worked great for me back in 1998!
A few years later I found out what a #10 plate was all about.
Then the 370's
Then transmission
Then Billet parts. ouch
Now I'm lookin for more AIR Twins? Yup I have started my twins fund.
I have about 100 bucks in it so far......I have a long way to go.

How can Banks electronics be "very reliable" when they use as many wire taps as they do? They don't use plugs to go into factory harnesses, they use scotch lock connectors to tap into wires. The scotch lock connectors have always been the weakest link in any electronics install. If you live in a corrosive environment (northern climes, or coastal areas), the salt will likely cause that much more of a problem plus your factory harnesses are compromised.

Once again...Banks stuff is made for EVERYONE...not just mechanics

I have a Twin Ram I'm putting on...they say on an old 12v, it actually helps. Not much I bet Mostly for the "Bling Factor"

Scotch locks?

Don't we all know to throw those darn things in the trash?

Too bad Banks chose to supply his electronic boxes with such inferior parts!

Well those where the only 2 things I saw banks had that I thought might be worth the money.

I told my buddy when he started lookin for a stack chip for CTD (99 2500 5 speed with an ez) back last year not to go with a banks. He knew he wanted somethin at least 120HP and he saw the edge comp and banks six gun I think.I was on here then as blowby (been a long time ago) and heard that TST was the **** and it stacked good with the ez he already had. He said I've never heard of these people and asked him this question. Ok the piers (thats where he got the chip from) has 6 or 7 very hp trucks they had built. 6 speed 12Vs and p pump 24s, have u ever seen a banks pullin truck. He naw I don't guess I have.

He got the TST and loved till yeah the little factory clutch and fuel system went out.
